I love Japan’s natural environment—especially bamboo shoots, which are my favorite—so I decided to purchase this house with its own bamboo grove.
The area around ABC House has a surprisingly international atmosphere for rural Japan, with neighbors including a Dutch and Japanese couple.
However, Hokuto City is still relatively unknown to international travelers, making it an ideal destination for those who wish to explore places in Japan that are not crowded with tourists.
Hokuto City is very popular among Japanese visitors, and one nearby soba restaurant is said to have been purchased for 51 times its original asking price when it was listed as a used property.
